How would you like a front row seat on the set of Bondi Rescue? An apartment directly opposite Bondi Beach, home of the globally-popular reality TV show and one of the most iconic beaches in the world, is for sale. Ray White has listed a 4-bedroom apartment on our property research platform, so let’s combine their information with ours to take a closer look at this incredible place.

Bondi Beach score almost perfect when it comes to investability

Typing the address into the buyer’s best buddy Residz we see that 701/152 Campbell Pde, Bondi Beach, last sold in 2009 for nearly $6.75 million. Consistent high demand for Bondi Beach property relative to supply gives it a score of 99 out of 100 on our Investability Index, well above the NSW state average score of 59.

Investability scores factor in things like income, demand for housing, home prices, jobs, and industry in the area. High average incomes in Bondi Beach attract buyers who want quality and can afford (or will stretch themselves to stump up) the commensurate high entry price. Competition for available quality housing is intense with multiple offers likely to be made in excess of asking prices.

Views are breathtaking

This large unit for sale is a world-class address in ‘The Bondi’ building with panoramic views stretching across North Bondi all the way to Tamarama. The floor-to-ceiling glass brings the breathtaking view right into the living and dining areas, with endless opportunities to watch the people and the surf, and even the annual whale migrations.

There’s about 248 sqm of internal living space including a ‘wintergarden’ terrace for year round entertaining and a sunny wraparound balcony. The building has a concierge service as well as a personal valet service, and there are two car spaces in secure basement parking.

Bondi Beach attractions

Bondi Beach is home to one of the oldest surf lifesaving clubs in the world, and one of Australia’s oldest swimming clubs, the Bondi Icebergs, at the ocean pools. It’s famous for its surf. According to Surfline, Bondi Beach’s exposure often means it'll have waves when the rest of Sydney is flat - and its protection from summer's north-east seabreezes means that while the rest of the city's beaches are being torn to pieces by onshore winds, Bondi is clean and glassy.

New pavilion set to open

The apartment for sale is close to the 1920s-era Bondi Pavilion which has just undergone a $48 million revamp by Waverley Council. The historic building reopened only this month after years of renovation. According to Concrete Playground, the pavilion now features an art gallery, cultural spaces, a new area called the Bondi Story Room, a pottery studio, a theatre, new amenities, and an expansive public courtyard.

There will also be new eateries and shops.

“A host of food and retail tenants [are] moving into the pavilion. The team behind Circular Quay's new multi-level venue Hinchcliff House is set to open an all-day cafe, bakery and bistro called Bondi Promenade.” - Concrete Playground

The apartment at Campbell Parade is listed for sale without a price guide. Contact Gavin Rubinstein and Oliver Lavers at Ray White for details.
