Award-winning geospatial data analytics software provider Mapcite Ltd, are under no illusions as to what it will take to address the surging interest in the Australian property market. Well-known McGrath Estate Agent Auctioneer Scott Kennedy-Green has joined as an Industry Advisor to assist with the development and promotion of Mapcite’s Residz property research portal. You will remember Scott from his successes as an Auctioneer on The Block TV series. This announcement comes on the back of Andrew Winter from Selling Houses Australia joining Residz as a Brand Ambassador earlier this year.

The Residz portal addresses risk and lifestyle data for every property in Australia allowing people to assess how they want to live, rather than just where they need to live, when choosing a new home. Having been born and raised in the UK but now living in Australia, CEO of Mapcite, Ian Haynes says “I can’t believe how much property is a national sport here”. Ian believes Residz will enable people to easily assess and compare properties according to information aligned to their lifestyle preferences such as school results, local crime, nearby amenities, traffic conditions at all times of day, bushfire risk, subsidence risk, area demand trends, local prices, and much more.

Included in the plans for Residz is for it to become the Property Social Network allowing moderated interactions between interested buyers, sellers, investors, agents, and anyone else with an interest in the property sector. With the experience of Scott Kennedy-Green and Andrew Winter available to them, Residz anticipates being in touch and up to date with what people are looking for when researching property. They further believe that by providing easy access to and visibility of many risk and lifestyle data sets that influence the home purchase value chain, efficiencies will be gained for the benefit of all involved.
